The JUCJET TG-A1 is a slim, licence-free PMR446 walkie talkie for families, hikers and small teams in the EU and the UK: 16 channels, hands-free VOX and a USB-C rechargeable battery with up to 118 hours of standby.

For shops, hotels, workshops and events it is a simple radio to hand out: the same channel and code on every set, a channel lock against accidental changes, and factory-direct pricing on team orders.

What Sets It Apart

• Licence-free PMR446 — 16 PMR446 channels on 446 MHz at 0.5 W, the legal limit for PMR446. No licence, SIM card or subscription needed in the EU and the UK; talks to other PMR446 radios set to the same channel and privacy code.
• Slim and easy to hand out — a slim, pocket-size radio with a top volume knob, a PTT key and two side keys for channel up and down. The fluorescent keys are easy to find in the dark.
• USB-C charging, long standby — each radio runs on a detachable 1000 mAh Li-ion battery: up to 118 hours on standby, or about 18 hours of typical use (5% transmit, 5% receive, 90% standby). The supplied charger's 2-in-1 USB-C cable charges both radios at once.
• Team features built in — VOX hands-free talk, scan, 50 CTCSS tones plus DCS codes, squelch levels 0–9, busy-channel lockout, time-out timer, power saving, a low-battery voice prompt and a channel lock so nobody changes channel by accident. An Honest Word About Range

Real-world range depends on your surroundings, and the manual does not state a distance. Open ground with a clear line of sight gives the best results; buildings, dense streets, forests and indoor walls cut it down sharply. Like other PMR446 handhelds, the TG-A1 is made for short-range use — across a campsite, a shop floor or a worksite, not across a city.

Do I need a licence?
No. PMR446 is licence-free for private and business use across the EU and the UK.

Will it talk to other PMR446 radios?
Yes. Set both radios to the same channel and the same privacy code (or code off). If you can hear but not reach another group, check that the CTCSS/DCS code matches.

How far will it reach?
The manual gives no range figure, so we do not quote one. PMR446 radios are limited by law to 0.5 W, so range depends on terrain: open, unobstructed ground or hilltops with a clear line of sight give the most distance; buildings, trees, hills and indoor walls cut it down sharply. Test coverage between your actual positions before you rely on it.

Does it work out of the box?
Yes. Switch both radios on, pick the same channel with the side keys and press PTT to talk. VOX, privacy codes and the side-key functions are set with PC programming software and a programming cable (not included). If your team needs a fixed channel plan across many radios, tell us in your quote.

Which battery does it use?
A detachable 3.7 V 1000 mAh Li-ion battery, charged over USB-C. Do not transmit while the radio is charging.

Can I use it in the US?
No. This edition works on the European PMR446 band. For the United States we list a separate FRS edition of the TG-A1.

Can we buy on invoice or in volume?
Yes. Every order comes with an invoice in your company name; EU/UK prices include VAT and bank transfer is accepted. For team orders, request a written quote — factory-direct pricing on larger quantities.
